I was shocked and saddened to learn of Joei's passing. I met Joei in 1999 and was immediately struck by her intelligence, humour and compassion. In the ensuing years we became friends and, eventually, co-workers, sharing the ups and downs life threw in the path of each of us. While she suffered much in her too-short life, I can say that I've met few people who could handle troubles as well as Joei, and I deeply regret that she is no longer with us. Janet and I offer our sympathies to John, Greta and the rest of the family and we wish we could attend the service. I can say that every time I pick up the guitar Joei gave me on my 60th birthday I will think of her - someone I always appreciated but never appreciated enough.Bruce Lantz

I found out today my wife passed away suddenly, we have been separated the last ten years and have not had contact at all. We had gone on with our lives. We had not bothered to divorce, we went our ways and did not see the need. I am now a widower and though we grew apart and had our issues I truly am grateful for her preasance in my life. We were, at the time, truly in love and grew, learned and lived a lot in our time together. I am in large part the man I am because of the journey we had together. Though not perfect we had a good time.... Thank you, Joei Warm for the time we had, namaste' to my first "True Companion". You touched my soul and I will be ever greatfull, we did our best to be a presence of love in the world and I believe we did hit the mark more than a few times. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who have been touched by Joei in her life and her passing..... With special prayers for John and Greta, Heathers Parents ( I say Heather for Greta's sake, she almost always called her by her given name despite Joei's stubborn insistence to addressed otherwise!) My heart goes out them and say Remember the word suffer comes from the Greek root "safarea" which means to go through... there is an out come, this is a process and a journey. the sorrow we feel now is a reflection of the love and joy Joei's impact has had in our lives and in that we can have only joy and gratitude and that brings me to a gladdened heart. Thanks Joei for the adventures and the perspectives you helped us to see! Steve Warm.
