I worked for Lindley Brothers in FSJ when I was a teenager, apprenticing in their mechanic shop down on the highway. I started in their first location, in a big old drafty plywood box, and that is where I first met Al. I've been trying to remember his first name for a while now, and it popped into my head just now. He introduced me to Hames and other harness gear because he was into Chuck Wagon racing. He worked in the shop using the brothers' equipment, and I worked on some with them, fabricating metal parts for his wagons. I've thought of him many times, especially whenever I see harnesses in any image. That man had a smile that would light up that entire shop, and it was big! When I finally remembered his name, and found this post, even though I've not seen the man since 1973, I recognized him immediately by that smile. I'm guessing (and hoping) he lived a good life. He was just that way. I'm glad to see so many positive rememberances below. He was a hell of a character in real life.

Our sincere condolences to the families! Albert was one a kind! Such a gentle, caring & thoughtful man! Gary and I loved getting together with Albert and Olga. They are both missed so much.
