Obituary of Adam Sampson
Obituary Adam David William Sampson, 66 of Fort St. John, British Columbia (formerly Three Mile Plains, Windsor, Nova Scotia) passed away peacefully on November 15, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Madeline Irene Sampson and William Harrison States. Adam was employed for the past 11 years at the North Peace Cultural Center in Fort St. John, B.C. Adam worked at several jobs while living in Nova Scotia, the most recent being Hantsport Middle School in Hantsport, N.S.
In his early years he enjoyed playing darts and cribbage in Nova Scotia. He is survived by; his common-law partner, Sherri Russell; children, Chastity (Andrew) Sampson, and Chad (Mandy); stepchildren, Melissa (Jesse), Garrett (Kaylah), and Matthew (Amanda); and grandchildren, Anthony, Lukas, Tessa, and JeTT. He was also survived by; sisters Delphina Upshaw, Carolyn Prevost, Starr (Courtenay) Levans, Darcell (Leonard) Cromwell, Candace Sampson, Roszena (Sugar) Sampson, brothers Bryant (Theresa) Upshaw, Derrick (Cheryl) Upshaw and Deno (Ann) Sampson and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers in law Gill Upshaw and Theaston Prevost.
Adam thoroughly enjoyed time at family gatherings and his children and grandchildren were the loves of his life. A celebration of life for Adam will take place at the North Peace Cultural Centre, Fort St. John, on Sunday, November 20 from 3-5 pm with a reception to follow. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the care of Hamre's Funeral Chapel. Special thanks to Dr. Watt, Dr. Paige and the staff at the Cancer Centre of Fort St. John Hospital.
Adam would like to thank everyone, family and friends, for all the love and support and prayers during his battle with cancer.
