My mom, Ila Shelkie would take me and my sister to Ada and Jacks place on the Montney corner. Ada always had some baking done, which we enjoyed immensely. We had so much fun out there. Ada would also pop in for a cup of tea and cookies at our place when she was in town. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. A true pioneer of the Peace River country. Our deepest condolences to all of the family on the passing of a very special lady. Eryn (nee Shelkie) and Ken KvikstadA candle was lit

Ada was a hardworking, straight to the point kind of woman. She had the kindest heart and always made sure to have time for everyone in our large family. I remember visiting her when we were younger and she always had the police scanner on and loved to talk about what was happening in town. She also cooked the most amazing meals; her Saskatoon pies will never be matched. You were an inspiration and will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace grandma <3 love the Bell boys.

She was a very hard working woman, but enjoyed life as well. She was very involved with the Seniors Games and traveled lots in her Senior years. She always had a smile and a laugh when company came. She enjoyed her grandchildren and made quilts for them all. She was always making quilts that I could remember. She also loved her cards. I can remember Dad and her were always playing crib and when company came, there were hearts to play. She made the best Bran Muffins and great soups as well. She was always busy and was just happy enjoying family and friends. I don't think I can ever remember a time she was angry. She will always be remember for her smile and laugh. My deepest condolences to her children, grandchildren, great and great, great grandchildren. Rest In Peace Aunt Ada. We will all miss you, but remember the happy memories we had with you.Lori

It's with very heavy hearts that we write this. In the loss of our Precious Grandma. Her hard work, knowledge, wisdom, always there to lend a helping hand to one and all.her great sense of humor gift of making quilts (which every grand child got for a Wedding present) her zest for life whether she was working in the garden,, carpet bowling, and enjoying lunch and playing cards with her many friends at the senior hall or playing ball in the summer games, crib , or bingo Grandma had heart for everyone you'd never drop in for a coffee with her no matter the time of day that she always had a home made cookie or piece of cake or square to share with coffee. Were so grateful for the many years of her wisdom she's shared with us its truly a treasure we will keep in our hearts forever. You'll always be the apple in our eye.Until we meet again May the Good Lord Bless You and Keep you in His Care Forever Loved and Never Forgotten Johnny & LindaA candle was lit
