Fred was my first cousin and from the extended Breurkens familyfrom Amsterdam -- my mother Gonnie was his aunt -- who emigrated to B.C. in the 1940s and '50s. Sorry that we lost touch as our families grew and moved to different parts of the province. My sincere condolences to his family.
