Nadia from Belarus and Tony from Germany receive with great sadness the passing away of their exceptional good friend Vern Senft. We are both very gratefull for all the humanitarian things he has done in the last 25 years for Nadia, Belarus and the People of Russia and Belarus. We both will keep Vern for ever in our memory and prayers.Special message from Nadia, I ask often at the Catholic Church in Gomel for mass Intention of Vern to save his life. But god s will was to take him into heaven. My heart is crying. In his entire life, he did give love and kindness to all people he did meet despite the difficulties he experienced in the last part of his life. I will always keep in my heart, his positive smiling, love and kindness.

Vern was a very kind caring man who always had time to stop and chat to lift my husband's spirits while our son was in the Fort St John hospital. Always a smile. He will be missed our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Senft family. Kelly and Heather Large

Vern and Wilbur became one of my customers when I operated a Radio Communications business in Fort St John. We soon became good friends, often meeting for coffee at Humptys, and over the years communicated by email, telephone and occasional visits since I lived in Calgary and now Beaumont. During one of my last visits, Verne demonstrated how he could get into his specially designed Van, with his wheelchair, then shift into the drivers seat and be able to drive off. Incredible! I remember his sincere desire to send 100s of Bibles to Russia, getting to know an influential Russia Military General Officer whom he toured in Canada. Verne had a deep faith in our Lord Jesus for salvation. I marveled how he stood up under the incredible physical challenge he faced after the neck-breaking incident. What a positive attitude and strong confidence in life. On our last conversation a few weeks ago he said he expected his next address to be Heaven. Well, he is now there and all his pain and discomforts are gone. Vern, you were a dependable friend and I will miss you. One day we will walk together again!Jim Novak

As a young fellow growing up in FSJ I often spent time chatting with Vern. He was a good friend, mentor, role model. During my life I have oftened reflected on advice he gave me. Last July I was in FSJ for the first time in 20 years. It was important to me to visit him again. The day I arrived I found Vern in the hospital, we chatted again a great deal. He then as always offered good advice. Until we meet again Vern......
