Betty was my friend and co-worker for the past 8 years, and taught me so much about how to structure our company's administration and accounting systems, how to efficiently build filing systems, and even the right way to stack papers (perfectly, with all corners and edges 100% aligned :)). We laughed together, troubleshooted our way through gnarly problems, and worked hard. I would not be who I am today, and our company would not be what it is today, without Betty's talents, character and efforts over the past years. She even taught me to fall in love with Excel spreadsheets, although hers still slightly terrify me, lol! Betty also had a real talent for handling entrepreneurial personalities, and walked the fine line between gatekeeper of the finances and supporting new leadership ideas. It was this mix of attention to detail and control versus loving the excitement of new challenges that I really treasured in her.We were able to have a belated birthday lunch for her the day before she passed, and I am grateful for that. I look forward to catching up with her one day when it's my time for Heaven, and I know she will take me to account for keeping her systems and spreadsheets shipshape- I can see her giving me "the look" already- so that thought will keep me on my toes. Good bye until then, my friend

Sorry to hearBetty passedaway. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Betty years ago. A hard working woman, she genuinely cared about doing a good job, being a good mom and friend.I oftenteasedBetty how she needed to pass on her organizational skills and teach the rest of us how to get our files looking like hers. Betty and I had lunch last May,we shared stories of ourfamilies and joy in havinggrandchildren. She loved her family dearly.Sincere condolences to Betty's loved ones.

Robert and family, we were in shock when we heard of Betty's passing last week. I had just talked to her on the weekend as she was working on my year end and was giving me a hard time for my "creative accounting", we always had a good laugh about how much I hate doing books. Betty was a wonderful woman and her passing is a huge loss for all that knew and loved her. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.

Betty was an old friend from back in N.S.We met up in Fort St John about 2 years ago when I went out to visit my son who lives there now. It was the first time we saw each other since she left at 18. It was good to see her again and talk about our famlies and mutual friends. I was back out there this past May and sadly I didn't get time to look her up again as I had hoped. Now, I am sorry that I didn't make time.Sending my thoughts and prayers to Robert, her children and grandchildren.I also knew her brother Timmy who sadly passed away here the same day.

I am so devastated to hear this. My heart goes out to all of the family. I will never forget her kindness shown to me when I ended up living with her for a few months in New Westminster. I was on one of my crazy adventures of moving away from home without a concrete plan. She gave me stability while I took a course and found a job. I remember her nudging me along in my journey by saying that "it has been working out with our different work schedules in this one bedroom apartment but it's getting a bit crowded when she had company" lol. That was her loving way of saying it was time for me to move on. I did but never forgot her kindness.Years later I was so happy when her and Robert stayed overnight at my home when I lived in Prince George. I felt privileged to provide a bed and meal to her and Robert. Then I was happy to briefly reconnect through Facebook years later. She will sadly be missed by so many. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers! XOXO

Uncle Byron and I are shocked at Betty's death so abruptly after her brother's passing. We remember her growing up at the farm and hanging around with her sister Joan. It's very painful to roam through our memories and see her and know she's no longer with us. Our deepest sympathy to her family.
