Freda solved many social and political problems with me over early morning coffee when she was bus supervisor at Taylor Elementary School. She was a shining star in the Taylor community. I cherish several of her art works which will forever be a reminder of the great lady she was.Chuck Froese

Such a loss for the family and the community. Always generous of time and spirit. Always supporting community events and serving as unofficial guardian of the hillside behind the Taylor school. The hillside already shows the scars that have been inflicted in her absence. An accomplished softball player, curler, golfer and horseshoe tosser. For many years a participant at the provincial senior games. Competitive but willing to teach and a believer in upholding the etiquette of sport. Also a prolific amateur artist. Family and friends will all have examples of her work, whether a painted rock, perhaps a ladybug, or a painting of local wildlife or scene.A favourite memory is Auntie Freda introducing Brian, John and I to the sport of curling via the Family League in the old two-sheeter curling rink in Taylor. Learning to curl on natural ice with a Chinook wind blowing is something to be experienced. I was fortunate to experience many years of curling as a result of that introduction. Talk about a group to test a Skip's patience! As I sit at my parents dining table with our view of Freda's back stoop, I remember many times looking out to see Auntie Freda busy at her chores; now seeing her only in memories.Cheerio, Auntie Freda!A candle was lit

Oh my dear friend Freda-I know you must have sighed a breath of relief as you went to join your God in heaven, as you, being the woman you were, would not want to be confined to a body that you were no longer in control of. Thank you for all the times you hugged me even though it wasnt your way because you knew I needed it. Say hi to my papa and talk him into a game of golf. Ill miss you.Condolences to the Hill family. Youve lost an amazing matriarch.

Freda was a great lady I first met her with committment. Her work-- she always was involved in community and her school life she taught many students in Taylor to love art, respect nature and be good to each other as she dedicated herself as one of the best crossing gaurds the commmunity had. She challenged the school district with being the first senior to contiune working as she loved and was loved by the students. Freda was a family friend as well through my grandmother, Aunt and parents My heart goes out to the family she raised. I will be away on service but my thoughts will be with the family that day You inspired me FredaA candle was lit
